About Me
Hello!
My name is Jeannie Frazee, and I am a Web Developer and Digital Marketer with expertise in Graphic Design, Digital Media, and SEO. I have a Certificate in Digital Marketing, an Associate’s Degree in Web and Graphic Design, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Digital Media and Web Technology with a minor in Marketing specific to Digital Marketing.
I currently work as a Web Developer and Social Media Marketing Manager at an affiliate to both the United States Department of Agriculture and the Maryland Department of Agriculture. In my position, I am responsible for all aspects of their web design and construction for their three websites, 508 compliance, cyber security, SEO, and all of the digital marketing associated with their websites. I also market all of their campaigns through email and digital ads for social media. And I am responsible for writing and designing all of their print media.
I originally started in web design back in the 1990’s, as the Web Master for a well-known actor/singer/Broadway performer/movie producer but returned to school in 2018 so that I could learn coding and update my skills to the current trends in web development. Working with the web is something that I love, and I felt lead to further pursue the field. Although my hope after graduation was to work as a Web Developer, I had a more important goal. I wanted to make a difference, and I knew that by creating websites it would give me a voice. So, in 2022, I opened my own web development company specifically to build educational websites and to help non-profits who could not afford the costs associated with hiring a web developer.
I enjoy my job, and I have been able to build some websites that have made a difference. One in particular is a large informational website about homeschool, designed to help parents understand homeschool and navigate through all of the confusion. I live in an area that is hostile toward homeschool because the public school system is the area’s largest employer, and this was a service much needed by many. Being able to develop and market this site with best practices in today’s web development world placed this site at the top of the Google listings for homeschool in our area, and today, those parents who wish to homeschool are no longer kept in the dark by those who want to pressure them into public school.
I am thankful for what I have in my life. But I am a Christian, and although my job allows me to help others, I feel an intense desire to serve the Lord in a deeper way. Therefore, I am seeking a job at ___________ University where I can make a difference for Christ.
There are two ways people can travel through life; toward Christ or away from Him. I have seen the profound difference that ____________ is making in the lives of young people and firmly believe that the college is training champions for Christ. Therefore, I feel lead to use my skills to be a small part of that mission. God created every life with a purpose. I want mine to be for Him.
I have a daughter in your university. Before she came, we traveled to the university many times to be sure it was a good fit. We also visited numerous other colleges. But what we saw at yours was profound. Your students weren’t like students at other colleges. They had a desire for life that we didn’t see at any other learning institution. Once our daughter enrolled, we knew why. Having a disability, she had a low self-image, and though she was determined and hard-working, she didn’t want to set her goals too high. After only one year, thanks to several members of your faculty and staff, she has blossomed. Her faith is stronger, and she has done things she never dreamed she could do. Today, she has a clear understanding of her calling, and has become a strong advocate for others as the president of one of your SAGA clubs.
We come to your college to visit her regularly, and I still have that same awe that I first felt about your university. It is a bright light in a dark world. Yes, you offer free tuition, and many parents come for that benefit. But for me, it is so much more as well. Money is only money, here today and gone tomorrow. Changing lives is for eternity.
