WordPress itself isn’t so easy to run, but we will add a software to it that will make it super-easy to work with, allowing you or your employees to do updates quickly and easily.
The Basics - How WordPress Web Development Works
Before we get into pricing, let us explain how it all works. In order to create a website for you, we need to secure you a hosting site; get you a domain or transfer yours if you already have one; set up WordPress; and set up another software to make it easy for you to make changes yourself, all before we can even begin developing your website.
If we install a shopping cart it is considerably more time consuming, as we will have to program in each and every one of your offerings separately, each of which takes about 20 minutes to complete.
As a general rule, each page of the website takes most of the day to program by the time we do all the designing, photo manipulation, photo placements, ADA compliance, optimization, and SEO. So, in total, a five-page website without a shopping cart takes us at least a week of full-time work. (Don’t expect it in a week, though. There’s a lot more to it.)
If you have a shopping cart, it is going to take us quite a bit longer…quite a bit longer! And be aware that if you ever plan to sell anything from your website, you need to order a cart site. That software goes down first, and we can’t add it later. You would have to have a whole new site developed.

Our goal in the end is that you have a website you can use and be proud to show off. What’s more, we want you to be able to make updates easily yourself, so you don’t have to keep paying us. We will train you how to use the software, and you can ask us basic questions if you get stuck.

Now, if you happen to be thinking that you can get a website from some place like GoDaddy for a mere couple hundred, you’re right. But then you have to do all the work yourself which you might find harder than it seems like it should be, and you will have to figure out how to do all the ADA Compliance, SEO (because theirs isn’t at all customized to your business), and optimization. And, their website won’t have all the bells and whistles. (There’s a really good reason WordPress is the number one website software for business!)

What we are giving you is a complete WordPress website package. It is customizable and will be focused completely to your business. You won’t have to pay a yearly fee for WordPress. And you won’t be subject to a web-builder company and all its fees for this, that, and the other thing.
Your site will be easy to understand, easy to navigate, and look current and trendy. It will load quickly, look good on any computer device including phones, and be optimized for good search results in your local community. Additionally, it will be ADA compliant and utilize current web design best practices.
Additional Costs
Now, what you DO need to pay for regularly is your hosting (which will be due again in 3 years), your yearly domain fee (which you have to pay with any website), site back-up (so if it goes down you don’t lose the whole thing), and fraud protection (particularly if you are running an online store). None of that is through us. We will give you all the details when we discuss your website. Once we build your site for you, you won’t owe us anything on a regular basis. It is just that initial cost to build the site. However, if later on, you want us to build more pages or make changes that you don’t want to make yourself, we can give you an estimate at that time.
