We are a Web Development company local to Garrett County, Maryland, but we build websites all over the US. All we do is web. Many of the local companies that build websites are actually computer instillation companies that offer web design on the side. They are experts in running cable, but their main focus is not web development. Now, let me ask you. Do you really want the cable guy building your business’ online presence?
Our head developer has an advanced degree in Web Development and Web Technology, and in addition, was professionally trained in Digital Marketing by Google; Not with one of those little online web trainings, but actually trained by Google. We are experts in Web, not cable.
The other arm of our business builds websites for government contractors, and we make good money at it. So, Manxx Sapphire doesn’t have to soak family businesses for a quality website. We provide high-grade websites at reasonable prices because we want to see all local businesses be able to be represented professionally on the web.
What Makes Manxx Sapphire Different?
We’re trending. Anyone with a little tech knowledge can put up a website. But not everyone knows the regulatory end of building a website.
Remember the 90’s, when all those tech guys were building websites in HTML? They didn’t need a degree, just a whole lot of tech skill. Back then the web was new, and pretty well free of most regulations. But today, the web is big business, and the powers that be want to make sure people stay online, and to do that, they want to weed out websites that don’t make the grade.
We’ve all heard the saying that the internet isn’t regulated by anyone. Well, that isn’t exactly true. There are regulations now, and organizations that oversee specific sets of web design best practices, and….Google. Let us not underestimate Google. You see, one of the best ways to weed out bad websites is to just make sure they don’t show up in search. And guess what, there may be a lot of search engines out there, but if Google doesn’t like your website…well, let’s just say no one ever looks at page 100 of the search results.
We are just now starting to see the results of those plans to make sure all the websites on the web are following the same principles. It is going to get worse for those who don’t. First, there’s ADA compliance. There are regulations in place to make sure all websites, yes ALL websites, are ADA compliant. Here before long, websites that aren’t are going to be fined. In addition, Google’s latest set of algorithms is specifically designed to penalize websites that do not follow web design best practices, with the long term goal being that…well…you get the picture.
What’s different about Manxx Sapphire is that we were trained by Google, so we know all those web best practices, and we are experts in them. There are many web businesses out there that have been putting up websites since the 1990’s, but that doesn’t mean they understand today’s web world. They may be able to give you a beautiful website but at the end of the day, it’s the owner of the website that is in risk of fines and penalties, not the web design company.
